I really love Luigi, his nervous, bumbling personality is a refreshing change from Mario's heroism and he can be quite hilarious as a result. Luigi's Mansion is the perfect starring role for him, being set in a spooky, ghost-filled mansion. It was one of the first GC games I ever played so I remember being very impressed with the graphics at the time. It's short but doesn't wear out it's welcome as a result and it's full of neat little touches, the best being Luigi humming along with the brilliant Luigi's Mansion theme as he wander the halls of the mansion. I definitely have to replay it sometime.
